We have been training up umpires within our club, but do not currently have any one to take on this role – failure to provide an umpire will result in an escalating points deduction and eventually league expulsion !
If anyone would like to umpire some games and help us out please do get in touch via email@example.com
Barnes Hockey Club are looking to fill two paid coaching roles within the Ladies section of the club:
1st Team Head Coach – South Division 1
2nd Team Coach – South Division 3B
Barnes is a thriving and lively club with 8 ladies teams (and 6 men’s teams) ranging from South Division 1 down to Surrey Division 11 as well as a quickly growing Junior section. Three of our ladies teams achieved promotion last season and the influx of our junior section moving into the senior teams means that we are a constantly growing and close knit club.
These roles would suit somebody that is a good at working in a team as well as autonomously. They need to be committed to the team they are coaching, the club itself and also need to have a genuine interest in the success of Barnes Hockey Club.
Please send a CV detailing your coaching experience to date with a covering letter that states why you feel you would be suited to the role to: firstname.lastname@example.org
Deadline for applications: 31st May 2014
Oxford Hockey Club was formed in 2011 from a merger between City of Oxford and Rover Oxford Hockey Clubs. We run 11 men’s (including one veterans’), 6 ladies’ (plus a vets’ cup team) and 1 to 2 mixed teams, along with a massive junior section that competes in Mercian, Oxfordshire and Development leagues, making us the biggest club in Oxfordshire.
We are looking to take on a Ladies 1XI coach to push the team forward and compete for promotion to South Div 1. This individual will provide a structured coaching program for the top ladies players in the club with a focus on tactics, fitness and gameplay. The role will also involve liaising with the 1X1 and 2XI captains on selection to take advantage of the improved player pool and strong junior section. This will be a key aspect of this role to ensure that both teams have the ability to perform strongly in their respective leagues.
You will be tactically aware and have a structured approach as you will be required to make executive decisions on and off the pitch with regards to selection, tactics, training programs and team management during the training sessions and Saturday matches.
We typically run two training sessions per week which makes up of a skills based session (Mondays) and a concentrated 1&2 XI session (Thursdays) which has more of a tactical focus – set plays etc. The South League starts at the end of September 2014 and we would be looking to bring on a coach as soon as possible to head up our pre-season leading into the competitive season.
Interested? If so please contact email@example.com to discuss further.
Following a very successful season and narrowly missing out on promotion to South Div 2 by goal difference, Basingstoke Ladies 1st Team are looking to appoint an experienced coach for the 2014/2015 season to continue to progress the team and help to secure promotion to Div 2 and beyond. The successful candidate should be an experienced ladies coach with the relevant credentials and preferably be available to coach twice a week as well as managing the team on Saturday’s games (although this is negotiable if required). In return we offer relevant pay depending on coaching grade, excellent commitment from the team and the opportunity to be involved at a growing club with great pitch and clubhouse facilities with a friendly atmosphere and great social scene.
Anyone interested should contact the Sarah Lucas, Ladies Section Captain by email firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone 07789 884 688.
